Ολοκληρώθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία το 30° Πανελλήνιο Συνέδριο Ακαδημαϊκών Βιβλιοθηκών με θέμα «Ακροβατώντας προς το μέλλον, διευρύνοντας τα όρια, συνδέοντας κοινότητες» που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις
23-25 Οκτωβρίου 2024 στο Πολεμικό Μουσείο Αθήνας. Άτομα του προσωπικού εκπροσώπησαν τη Βιβλιοθήκη Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας και άκουσαν τα ενδιαφέροντα θέματα που συζητήθηκαν και αντάλλαξαν ενδιαφέρουσες ιδέες με συναδέλφους. Το συνέδριο, που έκλεισε φέτος έναν κύκλο τριάντα ετών συνεχούς παρουσίας, επιχείρησε να ιχνηλατήσει τις διαφαινόμενες αλλαγές για τις ακαδημαϊκές βιβλιοθήκες. Απώτερος στόχος του συνεδρίου ήταν να προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα γόνιμου διαλόγου, ανάμεσα σε κοινότητες, ώστε να προκύψουν ολοκληρωμένες προτάσεις που θα απαντούν στις αναδυόμενες ανάγκες της ακαδημαϊκής ζωής αλλά και της κοινωνίας.

Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals: Youth exchange "EU is U" project – EDC-UNIC workshops
The European Documentation Centre at the University of Nicosia (EDC-UNIC) was invited and accepted to participate in the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 project titled "EU is U," organised by the Youth Board of Cyprus Youth Dynamics Group. During this initiative, the Senior Reference-Policy Specialist & EDC Manager conducted an interactive workshop on “Introduction to EU Resources and Support” (on 13/11/2024), which drew participation from over 60 youths from various Member States. The workshop, held in Pervolia, Larnaca, was well-received, gathering positive feedback from both the participants and the organisers. Impressed by the outcomes, the organizers have invited the Senior Reference-Policy Specialist & EDC Manager to collaborate on future projects and events.
Following the success of the initial workshop on 13/11/2024, the Senior Reference-Policy Specialist & EDC Manager was invited to conduct another interactive workshop on 5/12/2024. This workshop, part of the “Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals project titled: "Working Class Hero" initiative, covered crucial topics such as EU values, mobility opportunities, youth employability, and equal rights at work, attracting over 40 youths from different Member States.
